What I'm here for....

It has been a long tine guys, though I doubt you guys are still there in the first place.

But it doesn't matter anymore... I just need to sort out and type out my thoughts.... and I decided that this is the way to do it......

Well, I'm also doing this for another reason. One that I consider personal. And that is to practice my writing skills. And this can help me to improve my English. So blogging can prove to be a double edged sword, one edge to help me better my writing abilities, and another to help me think, and pen down my thoughts, so that everything will become more clear.

Quote of the day: "Never give up."

Motivation. Inspiration. Two of them may be similar. And as similar they are, they have their distinct differences.

Motivation. It can come with fear. Anger. Sadness. Pain. And it can come with encouragement. Love. The desire for something more. Or the desire for something less. The desire for something. The will sparks the flame of motivation, the flame of desire.

How do you know what you really want?

Sometimes we just have to think hard.
Sometimes we have to think far.
Sometimes we just have to imagine...
Sometimes we just have to do it...
And sometimes... we do not do anything...we wait for the right opportunity...and then everything will be alright...

Sometimes we feel sad, sometimes we feel mad... but once we go past that, we wonder why we actually felt like that........

We just have to want to do something. If we naturally can't, the only thing we can do is to train.

Inspiration. Everybody needs it. Everybody creates it. Everybody shares it. Everybody takes it.

This is how we evolve. Through inspiration. Through our human spirit. One person learns from others. One person searches deep within himself, and within everything else in the world. He learns. He shares. Others learn. Others share. This cycle repeats itself. God gave us everything... we just have to figure out how to make use of everything... and God gave us the ability to figure.. and with that we should never give up on our hopes and dreams....

Just believe in what you have to do, and embrace it. Motivation and inspiration will come naturally. Its in us. You just got to believe that you can do it. Why?

Because you can.

I do not know.

Quote of the Day: "Things are not always what it seems. There are two sides to everything, and different people have different opinions to everything. "

People get scared. They get scared because of the unknown. People are scared of the dark because it is silent, and rumour goes that the supernatural happen in dark places. No one has living proof that ghosts exist, so people are afraid. The unknown is always scary. Try closing your eyes and walk twenty big steps. Somewhere in between you would pause, afraid that you might bump into a wall, even if you know that there is nothing in front.

Pessimism, Optimism, Opinions And Views About Various Things

Quote of the Day: "Nothing is impossible, it is only a matter of how likely something can occur although there still is a possibility. "  Kevin Ng Zihao

Okay Firstly, I would like to comment on the canteen food. Sometime last year, the school had a change of canteen vendors. Currently, they are ISS catering. To be honest, the food isn't as bad as my friends describe it as. It is decent, and I think feel that they have improved compared to the previous vendors. The burgers from the western store have more fillings, rather than just a patty in between two buns. The meat and rice/pasta are also much better- the sauce is much more tasty compared to the sauce full of black pepper, and the pasta sauce which tastes nothing like tomato.

Secondly, video games. Why play Gears of War when all we ever do is hide in cover, come out of cover and shoot the enemy and hope for the best? Why play Mario when you die in one single touch? It is just all ultimately pointless. The cycle just repeats itself and it gets annoying, just like Maple Story and all MMORPGS, where all we ever do is try to level up.
The answer to my questions is simple. It is fun.

Thirdly, Facebook games. When Facebook existed millenniums ago, no one ever used it. Now, when Facebook introduce applications like Mafia Wars, and Mousehunt, Facebook suddenly became so famous. Perhaps it isn't the games that caused the sudden craze of Facebooking. I do not know what caused it, someone please englighten me!
Mousehunt- Strategic Game, I play it too, but every 15 minutes we just click a button and unlock a new JPEG file if we are lucky! Woo hoo! I got more gold! I understand that it may be kind of fun, but how can someone be addicted to a passive game which doesn't really require you to interact with it?

Fourth: Teaching Virtues to young children. First of all, little children with their undeveloped minds do not understand the meaning of responsibility. Parents tell them to have proper table manners, and they would only obey them as they are afraid. The parents have programmed the good into the kids, without the kids actually understanding and knowing what they are doing. This can be bad.

Fifth: Cartoons! Cartoons teach virtues in life that can be important, even when an adult! Things like Honesty, Friendship, Courage, Determination and Responsibility. The characters of the cartoons work together to overcome a problem. For example in the Pokemon Anime, the characters work together to overcome the greatest and most evil villain of all, TEAM ROCKET! (Sarcasm, I like Digimon)
Little children would actually just bother to look at the action sequences, that's all, and the Pokemon Anime is 99% filler. Apparently little kids cannot tell the difference between a good show and a bad show. And the adults who create these cartoons do it for fun and money, and 80% of the time they don't do it to educate.

Okay that is about all of what I have in my head. Of course a lot of thing in this world contradict with each other, so there would be too much for me to post. Thanks for reading, if you actually read.

Game Review: Halo Series

Quote of the Day: "Light is the good that guides us through darkness. Even if you are strong, courageous and determined, without light, you may still turn evil."

So do you despise warring games? Do you think that all warring games are full of blood, gore and violence? Well whatever. The Halo series seems like a shooter designed for six-year olds and given an 18+ rating. It has a great story, great gameplay and great soundtrack. Here is a video of me playing multiplayer.

Well it isn't that bloody and violent as most other shooter's. And the music, listen to it from my mixpod playlist.  The creators do a good job on the multiplayer, where the person with the best connection doesn't always win, and so it is fair. Much better compared to Gears of War. (The Gears of War video isn't mine, I put it up just for comparison. And Gears of War is a really bloody game. (Credit goes to the guy who posted the video.)   If you can't stand true violence, don't watch this video.

Okay now enough about violence. Let us get started. Halo is a science fiction video game franchise created by Bungie and owned by Microsoft Games Studios. The Halo Franchise is rated as the 24th best selling video games of all time.  The games have been praised as being among the best first-person-shooters on a video game console, and are considered Microsoft's Xbox "killer app". Without Halo, no one would buy the original Xbox, as the PS2 was much better at that time.  There are five best selling novels for the game, and besides the original trilogy (Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3), several spin offs have been made such as Halo 3: ODST,  and Halo Wars, a real-time-strategy designed to be played on a console made by Ensemble Studios.

In the Halo trilogy, we play as a SPARTAN-II, a genetically enhanced super soldier named John. (Though he was called the Master Chief for all three games.) Humanity has been fighting against a religious "alliance" of aliens which are made up of different allien species, who call themselves The Covenant. Set approximately 543 years in the future, humans accidentally bump into The Covenant while colonizing the galaxy.

The Halo games consist of an intense campaign, where each mission contributes to the story. The dynamic battles are great, you can choose to be a coward, snipe and get multiple kills, charge in bravely with an assault rifle and hope for the best, go by air or land vehicles or have a mix of all. The vehicles are extremely well balanced for gameplay, (unless the enemy steals your team's tanks!) we do not need a large homing missile to destroy tanks and aircraft. With enough skill some light shooting and grenades would do and if you are a strategic person, you can hijack and steal enemy vehicles! (All games including Halo Wars except for Halo: Combat Evolved.) And of course, vehicles versus vehicles.

The weapons in Halo are also generally well balanced unlike other shooters. Different weapons are used for different purposes, and each weapon can counter another.

The soundtrack is great, with a good mix of different instruments and great percussion, it adds a large amount of drama to the already action packed firefighting. Halo is and will be a classic, as it was the first game that reinvented the First-Person-Shooter genre, and its style of play is just---------------fun. If you own and Xbox and never played Halo, I do not know what to say.

Good campaign, good soundtrack, good multiplayer, good gameplay, good community, good story, good game. (And yes Halo Wars is one of the most successful console Real-Time-Strategies to date. Even though it is not made by Bungie, it still has a great soundtrack, great multiplayer, great gameplay, great community, and is ultimately fun. )

Interests

Quote of the Day: "No one is Perfect, there are always Pros and Cons in life."

Quote of Another Day: "Life can is whatever. It can be climbing, it can be epic, it can be colourful, it can be sad, it can be happy, but life is definitely annoying."

Okay interests... I have many hobbies, but one thing I really enjoy is art. And by art I mean taking photographs, making Youtube videos (mostly about games) and drawing. I am horrible at drawing, and I hate painting. The main interest that I would like to elaborate on is taking photographs. Photography is great and easy art, you can express your feelings and emotions through photographs.
"How? You don't draw the world when taking photographs, you only capture it. How would you express emotions through a still picture without even editing it? Drawing a picture to express your emotions make so much more sense!"
I took many pictures on my family's trip to Australia last December. If you would just bother to scroll down, you can look at that chilli crab picture. It looks great in my opinion. And that same scene can be extremely ugly.

A scenery photo can look horrible if you focus on the wrong object. An extremely boring scene can look nice in a photo. A photo can lie, even if unedited. (fast food burgers look so great in photos, but are horrible actually. Of course the burger also poses in front of the camera.) A photographer's best friend is of course, his camera and I don't own a camera. In Australia my father allowed me to use his big, fat camera that has a gigantic lens and probably costs over a thousand dollars. And yes post a comment on how we can express our emotions through taking a photograph.

Oh yes, I love music too. I have an interest in art and music ever since I was a little kid myself. When I was young, I would draw pictures everyday in the evening for my dad, myself and sometimes my mum. I would try and improvise on what characters to dray, but most of the time I tried to copy the style of cartoons (and anime) on television.
I have been learning the piano ever since I was a little boy at the age of three. Somehow I am not at the Grade 8 yet, despite not failing any of my music examinations. My pre-grade 3 piano lessons were pretty slow as I was learning with a class. Eventually it was decided that the class was too slow and I needed a personal teacher. Right now I go to the teacher's house (which is near my house) for piano lessons. When I was young, however, I wanted to quit piano. Back then I did not appreciate my luck for learning music. I felt that it was too time consuming and too much of a responsibility. (Whatever...I was only in lower primary when I said that.) Right now, I love music and the arts much more. My favourite instruments are the human voice, the piano and strings. I love how these instruments sound like. I dislike loud woodwind and brass instruments like the trumpet and tuba. I love the soft tone of the voice, strings and piano, and these instruments can play epic tunes too. And we can express our emotions through music. Music is a joy, and music rocks!

And post comments if you like music and art =)

We Eat to Live, and We Live to Eat!

Quote of the Day: "Balance is Power, and perfection in everything makes you the strongest. "

English assignment again, and what do we write about? Food, and it isn't specifically stated what we must write so...

Let us talk about cakes! Do you like cakes, because I do. Cakes have layers, cream, and are extremely fattening. Cheesecake, chocolate cakes, carrot cake whatever cake, birthday cake.

Probably one of the best desserts/snacks/breakfast ever invented. Goes well alone or with coffee.

Section 2: Chilli Crab
I am super annoyed right now. I just typed a whole lot of stuff here and Google Chrome lagged and crashed and right now I am not going to bother rewriting everything. Chilli Crab rocks because of it tender, juicy meat in the wonderful sweet and sour sauce which goes fantastically well with rice and buns. Chilli Crab was created in 1950 by a Singaporean couple. The flavour of the chilli crab sauce actually comes from tomato sauce. Almost no chilli was harmed in the making of this dish. However, many crabs, tomatoes, eggs and garlic were. You want pictures? I'll give them to you.  (Pictures from my trip to Australia, my Dad caught and cooked the crabs, I took the pictures)

150 Words About Myself

Quote of the day: "Keep it clean, respect public property."

First of all, I'm a child. I'm from a perfectly normal family. And the only reason I'm posting this is that....its for English class, and I'm Singaporean, studying in an awesome school. What I do in my spare time- playing the piano, surfing the web.... and playing video games. I have an Xbox and an Xbox-360 and I play all the Halo Games. I'm a fan of the Halo series and I love Halo Wars. I also have the Gears of War games, but I'm not really a fan. I don't have many games as each game costs around $70. My family owns a Wii too but I don't really play it. I love reading. Can anyone recommend a good book which we can get from the library? And for my CCA, I'm in the Choir, and Choir Rocks!
In class, I am not too talkative, and not too quiet either. I can't really say anything about myself. I observe others, but not myself. I don't know myself.
That's about it. Why would people care anyway?
Alright the next entry will be about food and again, it is for English class.
