Pessimism, Optimism, Opinions And Views About Various Things

Quote of the Day: "Nothing is impossible, it is only a matter of how likely something can occur although there still is a possibility. "  Kevin Ng Zihao

Okay Firstly, I would like to comment on the canteen food. Sometime last year, the school had a change of canteen vendors. Currently, they are ISS catering. To be honest, the food isn't as bad as my friends describe it as. It is decent, and I think feel that they have improved compared to the previous vendors. The burgers from the western store have more fillings, rather than just a patty in between two buns. The meat and rice/pasta are also much better- the sauce is much more tasty compared to the sauce full of black pepper, and the pasta sauce which tastes nothing like tomato.

Secondly, video games. Why play Gears of War when all we ever do is hide in cover, come out of cover and shoot the enemy and hope for the best? Why play Mario when you die in one single touch? It is just all ultimately pointless. The cycle just repeats itself and it gets annoying, just like Maple Story and all MMORPGS, where all we ever do is try to level up.
The answer to my questions is simple. It is fun.

Thirdly, Facebook games. When Facebook existed millenniums ago, no one ever used it. Now, when Facebook introduce applications like Mafia Wars, and Mousehunt, Facebook suddenly became so famous. Perhaps it isn't the games that caused the sudden craze of Facebooking. I do not know what caused it, someone please englighten me!
Mousehunt- Strategic Game, I play it too, but every 15 minutes we just click a button and unlock a new JPEG file if we are lucky! Woo hoo! I got more gold! I understand that it may be kind of fun, but how can someone be addicted to a passive game which doesn't really require you to interact with it?

Fourth: Teaching Virtues to young children. First of all, little children with their undeveloped minds do not understand the meaning of responsibility. Parents tell them to have proper table manners, and they would only obey them as they are afraid. The parents have programmed the good into the kids, without the kids actually understanding and knowing what they are doing. This can be bad.

Fifth: Cartoons! Cartoons teach virtues in life that can be important, even when an adult! Things like Honesty, Friendship, Courage, Determination and Responsibility. The characters of the cartoons work together to overcome a problem. For example in the Pokemon Anime, the characters work together to overcome the greatest and most evil villain of all, TEAM ROCKET! (Sarcasm, I like Digimon)
Little children would actually just bother to look at the action sequences, that's all, and the Pokemon Anime is 99% filler. Apparently little kids cannot tell the difference between a good show and a bad show. And the adults who create these cartoons do it for fun and money, and 80% of the time they don't do it to educate.

Okay that is about all of what I have in my head. Of course a lot of thing in this world contradict with each other, so there would be too much for me to post. Thanks for reading, if you actually read.
